Linda Beduhn, Founder/Designer of Beads 2 Treasure, loved stones, beads, and making things by hand at a young age. Around the age of 6, she would sit for long periods of time and look through rocks to add to her collection. As a teenager, Linda spent hours making crafts by hand for herself and gifts for her family and friends. She could spend an hour or more in the local craft store checking out all the latest ideas. Linda still spends hours shopping for beads, researching, designing, and producing the beautiful jewelry showcased on this website. She is also a wife and mother of 3 children – a 15-year old son and a set of boy/girl 12-year old twins. Linda loves to cook, read, race walk, bike, play with Baxter (our mini bulldog) and watch her kids’ sporting events. She also devotes time to volunteering at her children’s schools, local community events and is involved in the local running community. “My most favorite piece of Beads 2 Treasure is when someone asks me to design something special for them. I love the whole creative process - researching the perfect stones and beads, purchasing the materials, and designing the custom piece. The best part for me is delivering the finished product and watching/listening to the customer’s reaction(s).” I got started “playing” with beads again in 2000. I went to the local bead store, picked out some beads, made a bracelet and that was the beginning of my passion for beading. I draw inspiration from many aspects of life. I enjoy spending time reading and researching for new ideas and will take a class now and then to learn new techniques. |
