Beads 2 Treasure was actually founded in March of 2003 as a result of my dear friend, Jeanne DeMartino. Inspired by Jeanne's cancer journey through a double mastectomy, 16 weeks of chemotherapy and 34 radiation treatments, the first bracelet "Beating Breast Cancer" was designed. Witnessing her journey and others at her clinic, gave me a glimpse of what cancer patients go through. Jeanne is now in remission and is a true inspiration to those who know and love her. She recently celebrated her 5th year of survivorship by race walking the half marathon in San Francisco. You rock Jeanne!
